Introduction

As part of the EPR2 nuclear program, Edvance's engineering teams had to migrate their AVEVA PDMS environment to AVEVA E3D, while preserving data integrity and operational continuity.

Swims intervened as an AVEVA expert specialized in PDMS to E3D migration on large-scale nuclear projects.

Client Context and Need

The EPR2 program is a strategic nuclear project requiring exemplary rigor in AVEVA environment management. The planned migration from AVEVA PDMS to AVEVA E3D represented a major challenge: preserve the integrity of years of 3D modeling work while transitioning to a more powerful and modern platform.

The stakes: migrate without losing data, while guaranteeing the reliability of technical deliveries on a critical nuclear project.

Our Intervention

We intervened as an AVEVA expert specialized in PDMS to E3D migration on nuclear projects.

Our intervention covered:

  • audit of existing AVEVA PDMS environments to assess the scope and complexity of the migration
  • definition of the migration strategy: data mapping, conversion rules, integrity controls
  • phased migration of PDMS environments to E3D, with checks at each step
  • validation of converted data and technical acceptance with client teams

Results and Impact

Our intervention made it possible to secure the migration of AVEVA environments for the EPR2 program:

  • complete migration of PDMS data to E3D, without loss of information
  • continuity guaranteed for engineering teams throughout the transition
  • deliveries compliant with the requirements of the nuclear program
  • strengthened AVEVA E3D environments, ready for the next project phases
