AVEVA PDMS to AVEVA E3D Support Migration for an HPC Nuclear Project
Nuclear Project | Edvance

Introduction

As part of the HPC nuclear project, Edvance's engineering teams needed to secure the migration of piping supports from AVEVA PDMS to AVEVA E3D, while preserving data integrity and operational continuity.

Swims intervened as an AVEVA expert specialized in industrial engineering and PDMS to E3D migration on nuclear projects.

Client Context and Need

The HPC project is set in a demanding industrial environment, where precision and compliance with nuclear standards are non-negotiable.

The migration of piping supports from PDMS to E3D represented a critical challenge: ensure that all support data (geometry, attributes, technical specifications) was correctly transferred and validated in the new environment.

Our Intervention

We intervened as an AVEVA PDMS and E3D expert in industrial engineering on nuclear projects.

Our intervention covered:

  • inventory and classification of existing PDMS piping supports
  • definition of the migration strategy: mapping rules, handling exceptions, integrity checks
  • migration of supports to E3D with rigorous controls at each step
  • validation of migrated data against initial PDMS specifications

Results and Impact

Our intervention made it possible to secure support migration and improve data reliability in the AVEVA E3D environment:

  • complete and audited migration of piping supports
  • compliance with nuclear standards maintained throughout the process
  • engineering teams able to continue project work on a reliable E3D environment

Technical Environment

Technologies and expertise mobilized:

  • AVEVA PDMS
  • AVEVA E3D
  • PDMS to E3D migration
  • support engineering
  • nuclear data integrity
